Xiaohu Park

The project is located in Xiaoshan, Hangzhou, featured with a long and narrow valley and a Chinese traditional “Mountain and Water” landscape pattern. The essential location of the site between the city, local community, Mountain and water, requires a trigger of connection but minimal intervention to the sensitive ecosystem. While protecting biological diversity of the site for the ecological sustainability, the design team carefully laid out interactive facilities according to the different characteristics of the lake bank, marsh land, and woods, introducing diverse interactive distances between human beings and nature.

项目地处杭州萧山，西靠灵山，东临浦阳江，山谷形态狭长，山水格局优越。作为一处联系城市，社区与自然的核心场所，我们认为需要以“低干预”的设计策略去完成与场地的和解，去杂保真，适度开发。通过设计，一方面维持场地开发前后的水文可持续性，保护连续的生态廊道；另一方面根据不同场地特征依次布置了活动草坪、游戏沙滩、“旋涡”装置、水母泡泡、山谷圆环、露营草地、风铃屋和湿地栈道，弱化人工与自然的边界感。
